John Adam Dreisbach
Dreisbach is also spelled Dresbach, Dresback, Driesbach, Driesbaugh, Dreisback, and Treisbach.

John Adam Dreisbach was born October 15, 1762 in Northampton County, Pennsylvania according to his Veteran's Burial Card. His father was Colonel Johann Jost Dreisbach.

He was a private in the Revolutionary war from November 18, 1870-1782 and in 1783. He was a 1st class private in the 2nd Bn Captain Henry Alshouse, and a 4th class private in 7th Co. 3rd Bn. John Deter's.

He married Maria Margaret Hamscher. Maria was born in 1763 in Northampton County. Her parents were Johann Adam Hamsher and Maria Margretta Heckman.

Margaret died in 1840.

Adam died on May 6, 1849 and was buried at Zion Stone Church.
Pennsylvania German families took an active role in the American Revolution in Northampton County.

    Northampton County, Pennsylvania is on the eastern border of the state in the Lehigh Valley. It was formed in 1752 from parts of Bucks County. Easton is the county seat.
    Zion Stone Church is a Lutheran church near Kreidersville, Pennsylvania. It was dedicated on June 18, 1772.
